Sandro Aguilar Read Bio Collapse
Sandro Aguilar (b. 1974, Portugal) studied film at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. In 1998, he founded the production company O Som e a Fúria. His films have have been shown worldwide, and have won awards at La Biennale di Venezia and at festivals such as Locarno, Gijón, Oberhausen, Curtas Vila do Conde, and IndieLisboa. Retrospectives of his work have been organized at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema, New York Film Festival, Arsenal Berlin, and Oberhausen Film Festival. In 2013, he was an artist-in-residence at DAAD, Berlin.
