Narciso “Chicho” Ibáñez Serrador (b. 1935 in Montevideo, Uruguay) was a Spanish film, television, and theater director, actor, and screenwriter. He is credited with helping to modernize Spanish television in the 1960s with innovative series, and he was active from the 1960s through the 1990s, with dozens of film and television titles to his name as writer and director. In 1970, he launched his own production banner, Prointel, and created one of Spain’s most beloved television game shows, Un, Dos, Tres…Responda Otra Vez. In addition to his prolific television work, he is widely known for his feature films such as the cult La residencia (The House That Screamed, 1969) and ¿Quién puede matar a un niño? (Who Can Kill a Child?, 1976). Serrador died in Madrid, Spain in 2019.
