Now in its 38th year, Bemis Center is experiencing programmatic and fiscal growth and a renewed energy for a bold, ambitious future based on a recently completed long-range vision plan. This includes the creation of a new Sound Art + Experimental Music Program, which is supported, in part, by a prestigious USD 500,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Bemis Center seeks an innovative Sound Art + Experimental Music Program Manager to manage the program’s live/work residencies and dedicated facilities for rehearsing, recording, and performing. Working with Bemis Center’s Chief Curator and Director of Programs, the new team member advances the organization’s ambitions as a diverse, inclusive, and conceptually-rigorous site by supporting the work of artists from around the world, while serving the region as the premier locale for the presentation and understanding of sound art and experimental music.
