December 2, 2014
Please join Walter Benjamin’s technician this Saturday, December 6 for a guided walk-through of The Unmaking of Art: An exhibition based on a lecture by Walter Benjamin. The tours will be scheduled every hour, so make sure to reserve a spot.
The Unmaking of Art is comprised of three sections—the Museum of Antiquity, Rome; the Museum of Modernity, Paris; and the Salon de Fleurus, New York. The exhibition is a technical realization of a form of historical accounting that produces its precedents and antecedents simultaneously, where, for instance, medieval Europe could not have existed before it was invented as a historical period the moment David and the French Revolution destroyed it.
Please RSVP to magdalena [at] e-flux.com and schedule your visit to ensure your place on the tour.
