Join us at Bar Laika on Wednesday, November 1 at 8pm for the 27th edition of Satellite, featuring live music performances by Acamol and Haykal. The duo will be premiering their collaboration for the first time in New York with Acamol on decks and Haykal on mic.
Acamol works to lower a fever and acts quickly. Acamol can reduce pain caused by headaches, toothaches, the flu, cold, rheumatic pain, and severe heartache. Acamol does not affect the memory and can be taken by patients who suffer from colonial trauma. Although they don’t occur in most people, some effects can be serious; this is especially true if you take more than the recommended amount. It doesn’t actually reduce swelling or inflammation. Instead, it’s thought that it blocks the release of certain chemicals in your brain that signal the sensation of pain. It’s not fully known how Acamol actually operates. Acamol is the music alias of artist Basel Abbas.
Haykal is a rapper and producer from Ramallah, based, as of recently, in New York. He is known for his lyricism and the variety of different music he makes with cross-genre rap and electronic music influences. He has three EPs and one album out, alongside many singles and music collaborations with artists from his hometown and other Arab countries, including Zuli, Muqata’a, and Dakn, among others.
Satellite is a monthly experimental music series curated by Sanna Almajedi.
