The Extinct Desinence is a project by Italian Artist Lucia Veronesi born as a broad reflection on the relationship between the extinction of languages, the field of botany, the history of science in its female declinations, and their socio-political implications. Conducted through a phase of research in London, Trondheim, and Zurich, the project’s final result is an artwork composed of a tapestry and a video. The project will be exhibited and discussed on a national and international scale through four exhibitions (London, Trondheim, Venice, and Castrignano de’ Greci) and a round table (Zurich). The project is supported by the Italian Council (12th Edition, 2023), the Italian Ministry of Culture.

La terra nostra è un mostro di mare 2 is a group exhibition that focuses on the Mediterranean and investigates it from different perspectives. Land and sea at the same time, the Mediterranean is a place of contrasts and contradictions, proposed here as a possible unit of measurement and hypothesis of a paradigm shift. The earth and the sea are therefore poles of agreement and disagreement at the same time; of tension and expression of an ever-changing landscape that is often indefinable; of a desire to leave and return to the place of origin.
Group show: La terra nostra è un mostro di mare 2
Curated by Paolo Mele and Claudio Zecchi / Participating artists: Andreco, Luca Coclite, Gabriella Ciancimino, Riccardo Giacconi e Carolina Valencia Caicedo, Elena Mazzi e Rosario Sorbello, Alessandro Sciarroni.
