Imago: The World We See
July 7–September 7, 2024
Domaine de Boisbuchet—an international research centre for design and architecture—announces the Summer Workshop Programme 2024, inviting professionals and students, from all areas of applied arts to join.
“Imago: The World We See” is this year’s motto to fuel experimentation, discussion and celebration with forward-thinking creatives joining us from all over the world.
Our view of the world and of what is presented to us as official or even scientific is being called into question every day, not least by digital media. To what extent can we still trust our own eyes, let alone those of others? Searching for a common reality of the shared environment seems necessary for all social aspects and is by no means egalitarian – on the contrary. It is therefore the postulate and motto for Boisbuchet’s workshops this year. Our programme is focused on design as a discipline that needs to observe, investigate attentively, and consolidate all relevant perspectives or requirements in order to imagine and develop prospects that enable a better future. Let’s get together to build such viable visions!
Founded in 1986, Boisbuchet has a unique campus with an architectural park of historic and contemporary buildings on a 150 hectares property of protected nature in southwest France. Our workshops, exhibitions, and events as well as a design collection and library serve professional guests and visitors from the neighbouring and global community alike.
Be part of our community this summer! The workshops’ calendar listing all topics and tutors appears here below. Please visit our website for detailed information and the registration form, or email us at workshops [at] boisbuchet.org. Places are limited. Early bird registration deadline: April 30.
