Choice Art

Choice Art is a series of benefit auctions that offer work by some of the most important contemporary artists. The auction is frequently held at Sotheby’s 1334 York Avenue at 72nd Street. Choice Art benefits Planned Parenthood Federation of America in hopes to raise public awareness for Planned Parenthood’s mission to advance and protect the fundamental reproductive rights and health of women and men worldwide.

Over the years, the auction has featured works by such prominent artists as Louise Bourgeois, Chuck Close, Rineke Dijkstra, Marcel Dzama, Katy Grannan, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Longo, Sarah Lucas, Christian Marclay, Julie Mehretu, Marilyn Minter, Roxy Paine, Danica Phelps, Richard Prince, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Susan Rothenberg, Ed Ruscha, David Salle, James Siena, Laurie Simmons, Richard Tuttle, and Terry Winters.
