Pots. A site specific proposal, for a non permanent installation.

A neutral, interior space considered as a “Pot”. Inside this space I build a large scale model, an abstract structure. It consists of carton boxes - rectangular and cubic ones, of various sizes - placed on the floor the one next to the other, which at the bottom contain fresh soil. Its impossible to enter the room, as its completely covered. Eyes are surprised by the dominant structure, but the smell of soil reminds the impermanent nature of the installation.

The individual pots in total create a structure. The structure refers to a built environment. Each part of it contains a natural, fresh material, alert to rise life. It is made of cardboard boxes, a material without much endurance. Soil’s moisture will soak it day by day. The conditions which I set for this project finally undermine the term structure. The overall picture of the project shows a whole “town” built, consisting of potential “life-containers”. Inside a well shaped environment with doubtful endurance, life growth is possible. Two dominant notions compete: structure and life.
