Food uncertainty and the impact of the pandemic on industrial food production has foregrounded the urgency for a united reflection on the fragility of our production and distribution processes, the significance of their geolocation and mediums, our hubris in the pursuit of ceaseless growth and endless mobility, and finally, our accountability for how we occupy our planet.

Please join editors and contributors to Digestion, e-flux Architecture’s editorial collaboration with the 2022 Tallinn Architecture Biennale, for a series of presentations and discussions on how agricultural systems, culinary arts, and digestive processes are conditioned by built environments (and vice versa), and how the built environment might itself become subject to cultivation, harvest, and consumption.

The event is organized by Lydia Kallipoliti, co-curator of the 2022 Tallinn Architecture Biennale and co-editor of Digestion, and Christina Moushoul, assistant editor at e-flux Architecture. It is moderated by Anthony Vidler, and features contributions by Meredith TenHoor and Lindsey Wikstrom. The event will take place in person at e-flux.
